UHMWPE sheets are thermoplastic engineering plastic sheets with a molecular weight of not less than 1.5 million (mainstream 3 million–9 million). Due to their ultra-long molecular chain structure, UHMWPE sheets possess both excellent wear resistance and superior overall performance, making them a core choice for wear-resistant linings across various industries and widely used in multiple production scenarios.
UHMWPE sheets have outstanding core advantages: excellent wear resistance; in mortar abrasion tests, the wear amount is only 1/7 that of carbon steel and 1/5 that of nylon 66. Higher molecular weight results in better wear resistance, making them suitable for highly abrasive conditions such as ores and silt. They also possess an ultra-low coefficient of friction (0.07–0.11), are self-lubricating, reduce material adhesion, and lower equipment energy consumption and noise, making them suitable for oil-free applications in the food and pharmaceutical industries. Its excellent impact resistance, exhibiting no brittle fracture within a temperature range of -269℃ to 80℃, allows it to withstand high-drop material impacts and resists most chemical corrosions such as acids, alkalis, and salts. With a water absorption rate of less than 0.01%, it is not easily deformed and is convenient to install and handle.
The wear-resistant ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) sheet has applications in mining, coal, ports, chemical, and food industries. It can be used as components such as silos, chutes, and fenders, offering a lifespan 3-5 times longer than steel plates. Through its comprehensive properties of wear resistance, self-lubrication, and corrosion resistance, the wear-resistant UHMWPE sheet provides a reliable solution to coal bunker blockage problems.
