Lightweight and Load-Bearing! Polyethylene Paving Slabs Redefine the Standard for Temporary Construction Site Roads
Time : 07/04/2026

On construction sites, temporary roads are crucial for ensuring construction progress and the safety of personnel and equipment. Polyethylene paving slabs, with their excellent adaptability to complex construction environments, have become the preferred material for temporary paving on modern construction sites, effectively solving many pain points of traditional paving materials.

Construction site environments are complex, with muddy and soft surfaces being common. Traditional steel plates are heavy, difficult to transport, and prone to rust, while wooden planks are easily rotted and damaged. Polyethylene paving slabs, made from high-density polyethylene, weigh only 1/7 to 1/8 of steel plates, allowing for single-person transport. Their modular design eliminates the need for large equipment, enabling the laying of thousands of square meters per day, significantly saving time and labor costs.

Polyethylene paving slabs boast outstanding load-bearing capacity, capable of withstanding dynamic loads of 50 to 200 tons. They can easily support repeated compaction by heavy construction equipment such as concrete mixers and excavators. The anti-slip textured surface effectively increases the coefficient of friction, eliminating the risk of slipping on rainy or muddy surfaces and ensuring safe passage during construction. Meanwhile, it is resistant to acids and alkalis, anti-aging, and impervious to construction site oil stains and rainwater erosion, with a service life of over 10 years. It is recyclable, aligning with the concept of green construction.

Polyethylene paving slabs also effectively protect construction site surfaces, preventing ground subsidence and vegetation damage caused by heavy equipment. They are suitable for various scenarios such as main construction roads, material storage yards, and areas around foundation pits. Compared to traditional materials, polyethylene paving slabs have lower overall lifecycle costs, requiring less frequent replacement and maintenance, making them a significant contributor to improving construction efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring safety.
